Bachelor in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Summa Cum Laude, with a postgraduate degree in Corporate Finance from the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo. In 2000 he was awarded the Chevening scholarship of the British Consulate and obtained his MBA (with a major in Finance and Risk Management) from the University of Bath in England, graduating with the highest honors, “High Distinction.”

Mr. Salcedo held several prominent positions at Citibank, where he obtained most of his professional experience, having been the Chief Vice President of Corporate Banking & Public Sector for more than 5 years (2005-2010). For more than 7 years, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank (Senior Management Team) and part of the Assets & Liabilities Committee of the bank. During the period 2015-2017, Mr. Salcedo was an independent member of the Board of CEVALDOM Depósito Centralizado de Valores, S.A., and during the period 2017-2019, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors (as an independent member) of the Stock Exchange of the Dominican Republic. In addition, he worked in the Syndicated Loans unit of Citibank New York, collaborating in multiple financings in Latin America that included infrastructure projects and leading companies in telecommunications, oil, natural gas, and retail. Mr. Salcedo also worked for Merrill Lynch, Miami, USA, implementing a positioning strategy for the Latin American pension fund market.

Mr. Salcedo has worked in multiple landmark transactions, including local and international bonds, syndicated loans, financing with Export Agencies & Multilateral Institutions, such as: placement of the DR Sovereign Bonds in 2010 (US$750M issuance); as part of the Lead Managers team; structuring an innovative transaction for electricity companies in which EdeEste & EdeNorte obtained efficient financing (US$70M) through securitization of their accounts receivable via a concentrating account. He also participated in structuring a US$470M financing package for a leading local company in the beverages sector. This transaction included international and local loans (in Pesos and USD), as well as local and international bonds (in Pesos and USD), this being the largest private financing transaction in the entire Dominican history.

He has been a financial advisor to leading private groups in the region, bringing together operations of more than 3,000 hotel rooms, as well as multiple transactions involving airports, highways, bridges, ports, aqueducts, hospitals, among other investment projects. He has been a speaker/panelist as an infrastructure and capital market financing expert for conferences of the financial magazines LatinFinance and Project Finance
