Bachelor of Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Magna Cum Laude. In 1999, she was awarded a scholarship sponsored by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and obtained her Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She is currently in charge of the firm’s Corporate Finance and Investment Baking.
With more than 15 years of work experience in the banking and strategic planning sector, she held several management positions at Banco Popular Dominicano, where she successfully served for 14 years, being selected as part of the High Potential Managers Program in 2011. She started her career at the bank as Assistant Manager of the Executive Vice Presidency of International and Empresarial Business, where she was part of the work team in charge of defining the Long Term Strategy and the business and treasury plans of the Bank under the direction of McKinsey & Company. In 2003, she was promoted to Division Manager, going through the Corporate Credit Normalization area and later to the Investment Banking Division, where she specialized in Financing Structuring for Tourism Projects (Project Finance), Debt Restructuring, and Corporate Valuations.
In 2008, she was assigned to the Representative Office of BPD Bank, an international subsidiary of Grupo Popular in New York. During her tenure at BPD Bank, she was in charge of the Credit Analysis, Normalization, and Risk Monitoring team and later was appointed Chief Office Manager reporting directly to the Executive Vice President in NY and being responsible for the administrative tasks and supervision of Business Units, Customer Service, Compliance and Risk. She has been an external advisor to companies in the information technology and real estate industries.
